brilliant

makes it remarkably easy to check my accounts and make transfers on the go. the atm locater function is better than any of the other SG atm locaters out there (yes iCash SG Im referring to you). love the whole look and feel too.

Cool! I like the background and smooth scroll. Showing check image to capture echeck instruction is a nice idea. Overall, very good app

works as expected

works as expected, nothing fantastic. what could be better though, is if they can provide SMS 2FA code without having to enable SMS Preview in the settings. i keep the SMS Preview off due to privacy reasons, and those who prefer SMS preview to be off will find it irritating having to switch the setting back and forth before/after using this app. If Citibank SG app can provide SMS 2FA code without having to muddle with sms settings, why not Stanchart?

On both my iPad and iPhone this wont work.

I cant even get this to work once on multiple devices. I start to type my username and it crashes predictably.

This is definately hands down the best banking app on the AppStore. This is so easy, fast, and simple - I now pay all my bills with Breeze. Keep up the great work!

Best Mobile Banking App in Singapore

SCs Breeze Mobile Internet Banking platform is by far the best in terms of user experience and service in Singapore. However, retina display support is lacking and I hope this will be addressed in the next update.

Works as expected

Thanks for making this app. Previously I was using the mobile website, which is crap compared to this one. Five stars because it does well what its supposed to do.  

Horrible App from a Horrible Bank

The location of all ATMs in central orchard is wrong: Ngee City ATM doesnt exist neither does the one in Lucky Plaza. The one at paragon doesnt accept ATM5, unlike whats stated in the ATM finder. Amazing how they can just lie about locations of ATMs that dont even exist.

Whats with all the bug fixes and stupid updates but no iPhone 5/iOS 6 update ? Ridiculous ...

App updates

It is stupid to require a phone to have the latest iOS in order to download your latest updates! As my iPhone is a jail broken phone, I dont have the latest iOS and am not able to download the latest iOS update without locking the phone again. As such, I am not able to download your latest upgrade and hence, cannot even get into my older version of Breeze!! U do this everytime you upgrade your app, which is very inconvenient to customers like me. Stop messing with something thats not broken in the first place! U should give your customers the option to continue using the older version of Breeze. Now Im without the mobile app and have to do my online banking via the full website. Very inconvenient!!!!!!!

Best online banking app

Among all sg banks, this is the best

Does the basic of the basic.

The features are lacking. While other banks in the world allows different things to be done on their app, Standard Chartered is way behind. The only things I can do on this app is just move my money, look at my accounts, pay my bills and send cheques. There are no way to deposit cheques within the app, or apply for a new account, or use the iPhone features such as Touch ID or Apple Pay. I understand it does the basic thing but then again, it is made for the iOS and you would think the app will be upgraded to take full advantage of the OS.

Spams you with notifications

Despite turning off notifications in the app, it still constantly spams me with pointless “market insights” that I neither want nor need.

Unauthorised transactions

Had unauthorised transactions in my account a year ago and SCB has not commenced investigation nor refunded the amount and overseas transaction fee to date. Had contacted them through their hotline but they denied the existence of the transaction even though it is clearly stated in my account statement / transaction history.

I like how all the services I want to access are incorporated in the mobile device.

Horrible and lacks basic usability and common sense

Very hard to find any features such as card management etc..and i keep finding one or the other issue more in use it..best one was - app was showing more $$ than i had but fail when i make any transaction or transfer…the new one is - when i try to make local transfer it asks to validate the transaction by approving while i am in the app and no pop up comes..so how do you approve when the current screen is blocking or you abort current transaction. does someone really tests these apps ?

Worst Bank APP ever

It wasn’t the most functional app but I know where to find what I need. Now this new UI, I’m lost and probably only SC know where to find info. I just wonder if this is your way to make us talk to your very laidback and irresponsible RM who keeps changing any other day. Pls rework and keep things simple. Don’t ask your bankers for inputs; ask your customers.

Sack the app development team

How to make a simple transfer so…. complex.. I don’t even know how to do a PayNow transfer with the new interface. Stop wasting your money and just make it simple. Lousy lousy mobile banking app.

Upgrade made it worse.

Does not work in landscape mode. Need to scroll a lot. Please enable for landscape so I can use with iPad as before. Thanks

Disappointing revamp of the app

I used to love the SC mobile app that was to me the best banking app in SG. But this overhaul is a complete let down. It may provide a « new banking experience » by actually making it worse. Screens are less readable, especially with the cheap black on white fonts and the lack of visual breaks between sections. Screens are not very well optimized for iOS screens, either and require too long scrolling. Information are jammed in an non client friendly way (list of « holdings » instead of accounts, really?). Summary of transactions on the home page is unnecessary and does not even indicate which account it relates to. Bring us back the great UX you used to have!

Is it possible to revert to the old version

The new version looks nice ….but it’s too buggy for any banking to be done on it. All those random logouts, error messages. It’s really unusable.

Awful bank app

As someone new to SG, this is the worst bank app I’d ever used. Please take a look of those US credit card/ bank apps, like Bank of America, discover or American Express. Please learn something about how to deliver useful info in an effective and efficient way! The UI logic is very confusing and the app responds very slowly. What I hate the most is the non-stopping pop ads, this is a bank app! Not TikTok!

Screen frozen after asking me for an update in my particulars

SC has asked me to update my particulars and every time I hit the UPDATE key, the screen shows the word LOADING and the spinning arrow. It went on for about 15 min and I can’t even go back to the previous page. I had to uninstall the App and re-install, only to find out all it’s been disabled. It’s frustrating when I can’t even log into their website.

Where is the logout button??

Where is the logout button? There is a menu button on the top left but all it does was show more advertisement or products. I want to be able to properly logout from the App.

No way to know why your transaction didn't go through even if the limits are okay. Near to impossible to speak to customer support. You are being held on the line when it just eats up your money (maybe because I didn't have a tariff for calls, but nevertheless I wasn't assisted and gave up). App is bugged and won't show you a page to enter the SMS code to make a transfer. The only way I managed to do that is install the app on both the iPad and the phone to make a transaction, absolutely horrific experience. Not intuitive and bad UI/UX both in the app and on a web interface. Check your manuals and FAQs with people who are interacting with your services for the first time, they are confusing and not helpful.

Buggy since iPhone XS

App doesn't work well since I've used the iPhone XS. FaceID login doesn't work. Doesn't register it again. And the app just crashes at random times. Very bad app quality. Bad experience. Can't rely it as a security token at all for my banking. Really guys. How can I bank at SC if this is the experience I get on the mobile? I'm just thankful this isn't my main SG bank.

Prompted to set up mobile key again and again

Every other time I log on, the app would say some device/setting had changed therefore I'd have to set up SC Mobile Key again. I must have done it at least 3 times in the past week since I downloaded the app (because physical tokens stopped working recently).

Face id not working

Face id is not working in iphone xs max. It seems that it is using touch id.

The application refuses to function when Notifications are disabled

As per the title, do not force me to enable the notifications. The app cannot be used when notifications are disabled because the developers added constant checks for the permission. This violates the entire iOS app permission model.

Horrible support for older IOS and iphone

Using Iphone6s and IOS 9. Cant open this app. Useless and the old physical token is not working. So stupid

Overseas Card activation/deactivation

Please include the option to activate/deactivate cards on the app, unless I’m missing it somewhere in there....

What a joke

No dev effort went into this app in past 10 years. Sure, it got updated for FaceId, so at least there’s that. But other than that it’s a neglected ugly duckling. Stay away.

Still not updated for iPhone 6 screen resolution

It’s been what, 4 years now since Apple went from the 4” screen to 4.7”, and still we have this app not updated for the new size in normal resolution.
